About Find a Cobbler

Map listings tell you a shoe repair shop exists. They rarely tell you whether it does full resoles, Goodyear-welt work or zippers, or whether it takes repairs by mail. This site tries to answer those questions directly.

How listings work

We only mark a service or mail-in option when a public source shows it: the shop's own site, the brand's site, or a published guide or forum post. Every listing links its sources.
"Not confirmed" means we didn't see it. It doesn't mean the shop doesn't offer it.
We don't publish ratings, and we only include prices or turnaround times when the shop publishes them, quoted with the check date.
Each listing shows when it was last verified. Shops move, close and change policies, so check with them before you ship anything.
No listing is paid. If that ever changes, paid placements will be clearly labelled.

Suggest a shop or a correction

Email [email protected] (placeholder address) with the shop name, website and a link that shows the service or mail-in policy. Shop owners can send corrections the same way.

Privacy

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It's cookieless and doesn't track individual visitors. That beacon is the only third-party script; there are no ads, cookies or other trackers. Fonts (Inter and Fraunces, SIL Open Font License) are self-hosted.
